Experts say economic growth in Cambridge has beaten the national average for the past five years.


Whilst national economic growth is has been 1.7% per annum, the number for Cambridge has been 2.2% per annum.


Experts attribute the higher growth to the skilled labour market in Cambridgeshire and the educational opportunities in the region.

The growth in Cambridge has been happening for the last 20 years, and the city's output forecast is believed to be at 24% during the period of the next 10 years.

Of course, these numbers make Cambridge a reliable choice for investors wishing to start a new business or expand an existing one.

In 2019, 690,000 square feet of lab and office space was contracted, including 79,000 square feet for market leader Apple.
