A Cambridge Univesity lecturer called for the Cambridge Half-Marathon to be cancelled out of fears for the Coronavirus.

But organizers say the marathon will go on as planned.

Thousands of runners will be taking to the streets of Cambridge with a brand new route.

Besides the runners, thousands of well-wishers and marathon watchers will be lining the route cheering on the runners.

Runners who finish the race will be greeted with beer courtesy of Erdinger Alkoholfrei, which bills itself as "the refreshing isotonic recovery drink."

The Half-Marathon's sponsor, Saucony, is sponsoring free phots for the event, and runners can capture the memory of the event for posterity.

The event will be live-streamed on the Cambridge Half-Marathon Facebook page.
