SciBite, the Cambridge-based semantic software company, has announced Philippe Fauchet, OBE, as the newest member of its advisory board.

The board was initially formed in April 2019 with Diane Harbison and Alexander Karle as members.

President Rob Greenwood gave a warm welcome to Fauchet and lauded his extensive experience of corporate governance within the pharmaceutical space.

Fauchet has a 35-year track record in the industry, and he spent 20 years in Japan. For most of that time, he was the top manager of Sanofi-Aventis and later at GlaxoSmithKline.

Since that time, he has worked as a consultant to companies in Japan.

Fauchet also has experience in venture capital as a partner, and he sits on the board of directors of several start-ups in Japanese biotech.

"SciBite has organically built a market-leading position in text analytics and clean data intelligence, it's an exciting time for the company as they near reaching the stage where they can see a case for raising investment," Philippe Fauchet said.

The experienced leader said he looks forward to bringing his knowledge to SciBite, which is based in Cambridge but has offices in Japan and the United States.
